Best Condenser For Bluegrass/Old-Time Country

For that forward sound, I'm thinking Audio Technica 4040. What do you think? Any others to recommend?

The Shure KSM series mikes seem popular with bluegrassers, especially the KSM44 in omni mode for one-microphone technique. It's rather pricey though, compared to the AT 4040.
