Compressor lesson

Anyone know of any good tutorials or lessons for setting up and using a compressor.
I've got a second hand Behringer MDX2100.
Any help appreciated.

Read the articles scrubs posted, and also, after figureing out some basics, don't be afraid to just play with it. Take a track, and try all kinds of different settings, and compare this to the original. This will give you a good idea of what the settings do. Just make sure you save an original of teh track....

Definitely! Especially revealing is to explore the first five to fifty ms or so of attack time. Even at low ratios a lot of changes live in that slice of time.
