In N-track,how do i copy/paste a coupla songs from a long wav file?

ok, i've had N-track for a while, but having a bald moment.

i have an hour long wav of 15 demo songs. i want a couple of songs pulled out by copy and paste---near the end. i got to the first one, but how do i cut it out and save it? i've set the marker's....but

is there a way of editing these songs in N-track? or do i need an external editor? (i use Goldwave) thx jw

Id guess you could do it in N-Track, but myself, Id do it in Goldwave......its much more suited to this type of thing......

open up the big wave, highlight the part you want pulled out, the do Edit/Trim.....then do save as with a new file name........

thanks Gidge and how ya doing? i hope you made it through all the storms over there.

Now, here i am trying to remember this stuff in both GW and Ntrack. lemme see, i would rather do it in GW. but (and here's the dumb part) how do i go an hour forward to get the two songs i want to work on? the FF on the control panel obviously takes too long. what control or option takes me ahead through this long wav? (gawd, i'm having a bad bald moment)

Im just east of Baton Rouge and really lucked out on both.....hopefully you came out okay there?......

once you open the wave, left click on the wave at the approx spot where you think it may begin.....when you press play, playback will start where you just left clicked/highlighted instead of from the beginning of the wave......you can just keep left clicking and testing spots until you get it exactly where you want it or pretty close.....if you really want tozone in on the exact spot, you can adjust the exact spot by doing Edit/Marker/Set and putting in the exact spot ( minute:second:millisecond ) of the edit point.......
