Phishn4842 is on a distinguished road
splitting midi tracks..

ok i know in cubase you can record all the midi onto one track and then use "dissolve part" or something like that to divide all the drum sounds on to independent tracks....is there a way to do this in protools...im using a motif as my sequencer, and currently im just recording 4 bars of each drum and creating loops...but id love to record all the midi tracks at once...and if possible, turn them all into audio at once...this may not be possible, but if anyone knows a way it would be great...im running protools 6.9.2
thanks
Scott

I think you may want to do this in another software package. I'm not sure so don't quote me on this, but I seem to recall that it is not possible (or at least it didn't use to be) in Protools, which, last time I looked, had but the most rudimentary midi support.
