StupidKid is on a distinguished road
building cab odd dimensions

Well, I've decided to embark on another cab, so ive been scoping the 3/4 inch birch plywood at lowes for 30 bucks, and my friend has this emenince deisgner program where you basically input all the info of your speakers, and it tells you the right interal box volume.

What I found is odd, is no matter what this thing is spitting out I get really really shallow dimension, for 4 x12's its saying 6 inches deep to get the right internal box volume for just about any speaker I tried (even celstions)using the thiele small parameters.

Does anybody have any ideas?
Do I need to double that possibly because that seems closer to what a marshall cabs depth is? If anyone has any ideas that'd be awesome

I think box dimensions are a minimum, not an ideal, recommendation, and if I am not mistaken, only for vented/ported boxes anyway.

I think the dimensios only matter if it will be closed back and ported.
If it is open backed I dont think it will matter

Check out the forms at partsexpress.com, when I built mine I got a lot of help from them.

Why don't you just measure a Marshall cabinet and go build it?
