Extracting from CD isuues (speed)?

hi,
I am running S Foundry (Vers.8) and am having speed issues when extracting audio from cd via my Lite-On DVD-RW drive. The drive has the latest firmware, and it is also happening on my Sony CD-RW drive too. I select "max.speed" on the extraction menu, but it makes no diff. Looking at around 10 mins to extract 80 mins of cd music.
When I extract in both trays using Wavelab it is very quick.
Is there something i can adjust within S. Foundry to rectify this, or in my computer? (P IV 3.0 GHz 1Gb RAM 400)

Thanks

AnthWare Studio has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I am Starting to Wonder if Computers Running 1 Gig of Ram have Issues.
I Have the Same Problem But have no Clue how to fix it ... I Can Rip a cd in 2 minutes on an old 1ghz system with 192mb of ram and on my 3.4ghz, 1gb of ram & it take 10 minutes.

ShaunM,

Have you gone to the SonyMediaSoftware site to download Version 8.0B?

There were a lot of bug fixes to the original version 8 with that "b" download.

Unfortunately that did not help. It is still a ridiculously slow
rip.
If it is fast in Wavelab, there must be some command or setting in S Foundry that can rectify this.
Guess I'll just use WaveLab.
