Long distance FireWire
Hi,
Has anyone had any experience with long cable lengths using FireWire? I've found a 10m standard cable (here) and a 4.5m repeater cable (here ) that would give me the distance I need. Obviously I'm concerned about increased latency/loss of audio quality. I'll be running a PreSonus FirePod into a PC about 12-14metres (approx. 40ft) away. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated! The link for that repeater cable answers your question.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm using about a 10m cable right now on one device and it's fine.
