buzzing. mixer or amp?
hi all. i bought a Soundcraft E12 mixer to, primarily, record with. my band also tried putting some mics through it into a MARSHALL and a PEAVEY amp. the problem is, even with no mics plugged into the mixer, there was a buzzing sound.
now i know that it shouldnt go through an amp and that we needed the gain up quite high to make it loud enough, but im worried that when we plug the mixer into the computer and record some stuff the buzzing will be there and the recordings will be buzzy. the question is, are my worries correct and should i send the mixer back and get a new one?? ![]()

does the mixer have a headphone jack? try it with the cans, if they buzz it's the mixer.....you can't seriously check it out with a guitar amp lol
