you a fellow emu cs user let me ask you this when you lay down a track do you lay patterns and then connect several patterns all in song mode at the end or do you record straight in song mode on real time?

I do two ways depending on how i feel...1) i lay down the pattern and record it will im muting track in and out.. 2) lay down the pattern and then connect another pattern to get the change up i want in the song mode..(dont do to much us this lately)

I lay down patterns and record straight into cubase, muting the sounds the way I like it. I never use the song mode cause I find it easy to take that pattern and add a few more sounds and then I can come up with a whole new song
