refrigerator blues

Hi guys - the apartment I'm now in has a noisy refrigerator. I will try carpet samples to dampen the noise but it is what I wd call motor noise as opposed to vibration or parts wearing out. One aspect of it is a Bb note - not sure if that's 60 cycle hum? Radio Shack said to get a line conditioner. I called some refrigerator guys but they didn't seem to know about that & also they said there cd be 2 or 3 different causes - fan, compressor...

Any advice - I don't want to spend a lot but if a line conditioner wd filter out some noise it wd be worth it. Thanks.

Turn it off or unplug it when you record...

As long as you're not in and out of the fridge every five minutes...it'll still stay cold in there for awhile.

Just don't forget to plug it back in when you are done!!!
