M-audio firewire 1814
Hi there, Since the computer forum seems to be silent, i hope you'll let me post here...
I can;t seem to get a normal latency using Sonar and the M-audio firewire 1814. The waveprofiler sets it to an astounashing 235 msec! i can get it down to about 50-100 msec, but anywhere near 10 msec (theoretically i can push it to 5 msec) and it starts crackling like crazy! I use and AMD athlon 2600+, 512 mb 333mhz ram and two 80 gig 7200 rpm disks. I'v optimized according to musicxp.net guidelines. 2) I can't get SPDIF to work. I heard i need a special cable, up untill now i was using an ordinary COAX (you, know, homestereo) cable whch worked fine wiht my beat-up esi waveterminal. btw. It works. and easy to install. but one needs to bitch right ? ![]()
