Unhappy bloody Recording! ;-)

ho hum,,,

hello to one and all..
ive just recorded tracks 1 to 4 on the Mr8

so i obviously want to record those 4 onto 5n6 ,,as usual

so why wont the bloody thing let me do it?

i fear i may be doing something extremely wanky and making a fool of myself,,but i had to ask..cos im stuck
its always worked fine before

the alternative is recording tracks 1 to 4 onto minidisc,,,deleteing the tracks,,and recording it back onto the MR8

sigh,i hate recording,,,,,,

Tell me what you are doing step-by-step, and I will try to help. I've had mine for almost 2 years without any problems.

Also, what size is your CF card? If it's the 128MB that came with it, you may not have enough time left on it to bounce the tracks to 5/6 because it's not physically moving the data, it's recording onto those tracks as if you were doing it live! After you bounce down, you still have to delete tracks 1-4 to keep recording.

There are some issues to get around with interfaces, but they are not that hard. There are plenty of people using them here, so when you do get it and run into problems, this is the place to get help.

I'm glad things worked out for you!

I'm still of a mind that there are no stupid questions, so go ahead and ask!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do...
