I recently purchased the Spectrasonics Trilogy Bass software and need a little help. I'm using Fruity Loops to edit MIDI and I've read the manual, but...I can't seems to do slides effectively (especially slow slides). I believe my problem likey lies in my MIDI ignorance. Any tips on making this sound natural? Thanks in advance.

There is a midi controller for 'portamento time' which will get you started on the right track - it's Continuous Controller 5, and at a value of 127 it makes the smooth transitions between notes so long as to be useful only for special effects and drones. You will need to play around with this to find the proper values for the tempos you are working at, and as a rule all CC's are best entered separately from the notes.
