Having problems with the VST support...or at least with Freeverb. Anyone else? I'm getting really nasty speaker blowing (literally) distortion when I engage a VST plugin from n-Track, using the native support, not a wrapper.

Anyone else having problems.....I'm using the version right before this latest release which I have yet to download (I can't keep track of these damn version numbers)

MikeDog is on a distinguished road
I'm using 2.1.4 (I think the same version as you), and I'm using VST effects just fine. Granted, I'm not using Freeverb, but my compressor works just great. Sorry I can't be more help...

there have been few problems since vst support was implemented

Try a fresh download from Jezars site.If other plugs are working ok and only Freeverb freaks, that sounds like a software glitch with the plug.Be aware that he has put the source code out and lots of guys are adding their two cents worth in.I use the latest vst version (in preference to directx)Here's a link http://www.dreampoint.co.uk/
By the way,2.2 is out and running perfectly well on my rig; generic PIII w/128 meg ram ,W2K service pack I,Ensoniq Audio PCI card and 20 gig maxtor.
regards
Tom
