if i have 24bit adat data going into a 16 bit vf16...
what will it do? i wanna get an m-audio octane preamp to give me 8 channels of adat which i'd record onto my old vf16 (the kind before they a cd burner). will it be able to support this?

It'll truncate the last 8 bits (throw the data away).
