Hey thane, I screamed for "stickies" and didn't hear a word from a mod. How would it happen even if everyone voted???

It's at least worth a shot.

Yeah, a DIY thread would be nice.

If people don't mind e-mail based forums, I could set one up in about... oh... 60 seconds. I host several lists on my server, and it's easy.

I happen to prefer e-mail based forums, partly because of the volume of email from lists I participate/host/whatever is rather vast... it's quicker... and partly because I'm not limited to "device".

I can read my email on my desktop via windows, I can read it via a dumb terminal in the garage (no gui, just a dumb terminal), I can read it on my cell phone if I want... and emergency emails page me.

Anyway, as promised, I set it up on my server:

http://midimonkey.com/mailman/listinfo/studio-diy

It's free, it's fun, it's fast!

(and on a "real" server that's on UPS, has a 2tb raid array, is backed up nightly using a robotic library, and sits on a T1).
