mu5ik16 is an unknown quantity at this point
Question just curious

i'm curious to see how people on this site feel about pirating software. i know people who are OK with it and people who would likely pick up a phone and call the authorities if they found out there own children were doing it. what does everyone think? we'll call this a study on recording ethics.

There's been quite a lot of discussion on that subject here. http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/sho...ghlight=pirate
I personally feel it is wrong, but like so many wrong things, I sometimes find myself falling to temptation once in a while.

applejax will become famous soon enough
Softwear is wrong to pirate... Even though we're all guilty of it in some way. I wouldnt freak out if i knew someone doing it because alot of people I know do it. And it doesnt make me lose sleep or anythign either lol. But I've done it in the past...but now I buy everything I want...so I take pride in what I buy...or if I'm writing some music...and post it on, lets just say purevolume, I am willing to let people share a song or two for free. But when it comes to whole albums, I think it's wrong... I mean anyone who is a struggling artist will know what I mean. We want to make something back from all the hard work. Even the guys who say they "are just doing it for fun" well...what happens if someone steals your ideas if you dont have the income to put a copywrite on your music? It just bothers me when I know people who burn CD's of full albums. Me, I'll sample a song or two and go out and buy the CD...I have SOO many CD's but I have mp3s for qualtiy and everything else.

Just my thoughts
