You should never buy cymbals sight unseen. They all sound different. If you get a cymbal and you hate the sound, it dosen't matter what a great deal you got. Go to where you can listen to a number of cymbals and select the ones that you find pleasing.

That's what Neil would do.

$650 for ride, hi-hat and crash doesn't sound like all that great of a deal. $499 is probably a reasonably good deal. i've heard the paragon cymbals. they sound nice. i think you could probably buy them individually for the same price, though. i think you could get an amazing crash for well under $200 (maybe something like $150 or less for a crash that SMOKES), a great ride for around $200 (probably less) and a beautiful set of hi-hats for $200-ish. i think you could get a great set of cymbals for under $500.

Yeah, I have to agree here. Even with Neil's name on it I'd still want to hear it first. I've bought a guitar without playing it first, but cymbals? Never.

For the dickless moron that gave me this comment* for the above post, I have to say, "Say that to my face you spineless piece of shit. I would like nothing better."

*Perhaps that's because you're a fuckup.
