Strangely I watched the Moog film last night for the first time. Aside from what he gave the world of music it struck me what a thoroughly decent man he seemed to be.
A sad day indeed.

Farewell Bob , treasured for good as creative compass to inspire others. >>> 01 <<< >>> 02 <<< >>> 03 <<< >>> 04 <<< >>> 05 <<< Regardless of being European, I would like to remind those US folks that perhaps failed to learn so. But many people consider New England as : Moognited States of ARPmerica ![]() Although Moog was invented in New York, considering where all parts mostly came, it can safely be considered New Englander as well ![]() Land where Synthesizer as such was born. (ARP, Kurzweil, Synclavier, Aries, Moog)

Can you people believe this. I check my message box, and look what I've found !!! >>> sad 01 <<< >>> sad 02 <<< Hope moderator can find/trace this "creative" author, because Moog is the last person who deserves such disrespectful remark. Very sad indeed.

Terrible. Moog went hand in hand with electronic music and synths in general for decades. Truly a major blow.

Moog was definitely a major genius when it came to analog synths. My brother and I had a MicroMoog for years, and although for us it was a glorified "noise maker", it was still cool to play around with, just to see what kind of strange sounds you could get out of it.
A guy I know - my digital recording instructor at the local community college - went and stayed with Moog one summer during the early 80's, and he spent ages just messing with the synths at his house - he said it was a keyboard player's dream. The Late Professor William Hoskins at Jacksonville University (Ran the Electronic Music/Recording school) was good friends with Moog, so a few of his students went up there one summer to evidently help Moog remodel his house. Just saw I got a Negative Rep too. Mine Said "Bob Moog has passed away, and my ass has passed gas. Alert the media!". What a disrespectful douche-bag

the only thing i've ever come across, was at a Polyphonic Spree concert, where a member was playing a Theremin made by him ... i decided he must be/have been a genius as soon as i heard that thing. Andy
