tuning control room

Hey not been on in a while.

I've almost finished my studio. I am having bass problems in my control room though... I strategically placed aurolex panels aboout the room and placed 7 bass traps in the two corners behind me and the monitors.

The room is still relatively empty for instance there will be a couch going in whicj i know will help and i don't have propor monitor stands so my monitors are sitting on my desk on top of some rubber. Will fixing these issues be enough to get rid of the woolly bassy sound.

When i compare the monitors with headphones the headphones are much brighter.

I am using Tanooy Reveals and an appropriate samson studio power amp

Any help would be much appreciated .. it's for charity !!

Thanks

When you say bass traps, are you talking about Auralex bass traps or rigid fiberglass bass traps?
