Lowest Price on SP B1's???

Since everytime I think I've found the lowest price on something, somebody on here always points me to a site that has it a bit cheaper.......that being the case, I'll just come straight out and ask:

Which place has the lowest Price on the Studio Projects B1?

And.....Does anybody know if someone is offering two of them in a package deal?

The cheapest I've been able to find is $99.00

Thanks,
Rick

Rick, I don't think the B1 price varies much beyond coffee change. Just look for a site that offers no tax, free shipping, and (a big one) an included shockmount. If you can get all for about $100, as I did, don't look back. And if you buy two, you might want to ask for two mics of the matching "color dot" (mine are red dot). Sorry, but I can't remember where I bought mine a while back--just one of the big music equipment sites. Great mics for the buck.

Best,
J.

watch out though. most b1's are sold with the shockmount but some are not. might as well make sure you get the free shockmount.

$99 seems to be the standard price for new B1s these days. However, if you are not averse to getting B-stock, www.pmiaudio.com has a few B1s available for $89 a pop. Go to the "Marketplace" link and look for the B-stock link from there. I would venture a guess that their B1 includes the shock mount. I got a B-stock B1 last year for $69, but it did not include the shock mount. Personally, I think that it's more than worth the extra $20 for the shock mount, as the clip that came with my B1 is terrible, even after tightening it. I've had better luck using a clip designed for an SM57! The B1 itself looked and sounded brand new when I got it, and has been very reliable after a year and a half of regular use.

PMI has some other nice B-stock deals at the moment. If I had the extra cash, I'd probably pick up a few things.

Just an up date...

I ended up purchasing a Pair of B1's on ebay. I got 2 mics, 2 shock mounts, 2 boom stands, and a SP VTB-1 preamp for $285.00 shipped. ...saved a few bucks I guess.

I've recently found out that Zzounds has some Blem B1's for 75 bucks! ---->

Thanks for all of the help and info!!!

Rick

I've noticed in general there's always someone selling new B1's with shockmounts and a mic stand for $100-110 on ebay. Thats probably the best deal unless you really don't need another stand (but everyone always needs another mic stand).

Full Compass was cheaper than anyone when I bought mine.
Gotta call for prices though, but I think I paid $85 w/shockmount, but that's been a year or so ago...

My band has used the B1 for vocals and it came out pretty nice and took EQ well. They also make nice drum overheads. I think its a good condensor and I'd still be using it regularly if I hadn't bought an AKG 414.

They're both good mics, but IMHO, I think the SP B1 is useful on more things than an SM-58... especially if you only own one mic.

The Studio Projects B-1 is the best option in its price range for many purposes. Highly recommended.

Cool

I just recorded our band the other night on my Boss BR 1600 and I had a SP B-1 On my Fender Hot Rod Deville and it worked great. I want more B-1's!
