Here is a photo. I'm very excited! Pic may not show of for some reason. Do these use just AA batteries?

Damn, hey I'm typing fast and brain can't catch up!!! There is a switch (red) I 'm thinking this is for if we don't have phantom power,we switch it and go with batterys? Also, it looks to have a little meter,it also shows through the shell. Any clues?

I'm not positive, but I don't think Nuemanns can run of AA's............How many would it take to hit 48v anyway????

Well, at 1.5 volts each..alot!

They look to be spaces for AA. ....Kind of. I was thinking the same thing. I have to wonder if this switch inside is for boards that have 48V phantom power

No, Nuemanns do not run on batteries..unless this one has been severly modded but it would take a few car batteries!

Yes, U87's do use a battery. They can use internal or external power source. Not modified at all, stock
