Does Cubase LE have reverb?
My tascam FW-1884 is arriving tomorrow and I'm looking forward to getting set up. Just HOW limited is LE?

I does, however, even SX has horrible reverb. As of yet there are 3 verbs that come with SX3:
Reverb A Reverb B and the new surround verb The last one should be pretty good I've heard say, but I highly doubt it ships with LE. Reverb A and B are just horrible. You're better of with one of the freeware verb plugins on the net. |

I have Cubase SE and don't use any of the bundled plug ins. There are much better out there for free.
For reverb try SIR.

If I recall correctly (and I might not) LE really isn't all that limited. It doesn't do surround, doesn't have input channel recording, and doesn't do a couple other things that most people don't do anyway.
Ditto the guys above here- I used the verbs in Cubase just long enough to realize that I never wanted to use them again. You can get one or 2 useable sounds out of them for background ambience as long as you keep the volume *really* low, but even that takes more tweaking than any number of free verbs that come with very useable presets to start with. Enjoy! And start downloading those free VST verbs now. ![]() -C |

What comes with it isn't important; VST technology allows you to add in cool tools and, as the guys above pointed out, there are tons out there available for FREE.
For a starter, download these: http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-series.php Then go to www.kvraudio.com and hit the SEARCH button. You can find anything you want and specify if you want Commercial or FREE plugs... |

I just tried three of those tools; EQ, Compression, and Reverb. The EQ results are only subtle, the compression does nothing at all really. The Reverb is pretty good, lots of choices. I cranked up my monitors real loud and played with the compression, but could not tell any real difference at all, so it was hard to get a feel for what I am supposed to hear. The EQ results are very subtle, alot of movement of the sliders yielded only slight results.

Also try these:
http://www.digitalfishphones.com/mai...em=2&subItem=5 Digital Fish Phones compressor, de-esser and gate/expander. Betabugs: http://www.betabugsaudio.com/ Lots of one/two knob plugins. Can hog the system but are pretty good if you ask me ![]() |

So far I'm happy with the LE VSTs. They're better than the ones in Cubasis 2.0!
