Cool Just pulled the trigger on a Royer R-122 ribbon mic and Focusrite Voicemaster Pro

...Any thoughts on how this combo will work with my current system? For some background, I have a PowerMac G-4, 800 Mhz, OS 10.2.4, 2x40Gig hard drives, 760+ RAM, Digi 002R, Protools 6.1.2. I mic my voice and guitar amp. Since I'm a sort of one-man-band I create keyboard (mostly acoustic piano and Hammond B-3) and background horn sounds with a Roland GR-33 guitar synth and drum tracks with an Alesis SR-16 and play bass guitar direct into the Digi 002R. I write, play, and record blues and jazz but don't use a lot of vocal harmonies, however, since I'm just recording myself I do "layer" instruments. So at times I use a lot of tracks; for example, separate tracks for kick drum, snare, high hat cymbal. ride and crash cymbals, guitars (usually 2), acoustic piano, Hammond B-3, 3 or 4 layers of horns, bass guitar, and sometimes harmonica, and various percussion instruments such as congas. I don't always use this many instruments, however, I frequently do.
Anyway, I just wanted to solicit comments regarding the new Royer R-122 ribbon mic and Focusrite Voicemaster Pro preamp and any suggestions for using them with my system. Thank you.
