My first recording - and no sound or response!

Just got my MRS-8 and MXL 603S...tried to record my acoustic but I'm getting no response form the thing whatsoever! Can anyone help? I've gone through the manual but it just seems more complicated!

Take it back to the music store and make the salesman earn his commission by showing you how to work it.

Jonny,

I have a Zoom MRS802CD and you will (should) find the phantom power switch on the back panel to the left (or right, if you're looking at the back) of the a.c. power switch.
