Kaoss pad confussion

i just got a kaoss mixer on ebay for 200$.... i just bought it because it was cheap and it has same stuff that the KP2 has but this is a mixer... its that all the difference??

all im looking for is to same stuff and give effectds to it. now i not sure if i did good in buying it and im beggining to think that i should buy the KP2 instead... i just want a kaoss pad conected to a sampler or use it as one and put effects in it while it repeats in different ways... get it? lol take any advices!!... thanx

The Kaoss Mixer was not popular when it came out - that's probably why you found it so cheap on eBay. It also is not a replacement for the KP2 pad.

If you want the KP2, get the KP2...

I thought the Kaoss Mixer doo-dah had something to do with changing visuals, as well as audio, and that was its main function? maybe i'm thinking about a completely different thing though.

I agree with ssscientist - get the KP2 if you want what the KP2 can do - they're £200 in britain, so i can't imagine them being more than $200 in america.
