Ted Reed = genius

i took some set lessons back in junior high or something, and my teacher used the "Progressive Steps to Syncopation for the Modern Drummer"back then.

Of course i slacked off and did little practicing, but i remembered how well that book worked to try new things and build on stuff. So, since i have been re-learning drums, i got fired up today and bought a new copy.

Two things, one just wanted to say how much i dig this really simple book, the whole thing jsut makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Second, what kind of experiences have others had with this book in learning drumset technique? Any pointers on how to impliment it in practice?

Thanks
Daav

LOL I'm currently practicing Lesson 5. Its a great book. Really fun,I'm up to lesson 10, but dotted notes givfe me troubles, so I'm repracticing them. But its a great way to get introduced to the music theory of drums.
