Stereo to 2 mono channels split in Nuendo

This maybe even to dumb to ask but i give up!

How on earth, can i split a stereo track in Nuendo into two separate mono channels!

I work in a studio that uses PT platform.
It's the easiest thing to do with PT.

But in Nuendo i would really need some help!

I did not see any hints suggesting how it's done, in the Nuendo manual!

I am running a 2.0.33 version.

Not have i read any similar topic here, so here i am!
:-)

If you want the audio track to literally be 2 separate mono audio files, then you need to export it as non-interleaved stereo (creates a mono file for left and right)....

Bingo, then check the box that says to create new file in pool or project.

cute!

Dull but cute!

Now if someone would kindly explain me, how on earth do i make an external FX connection in Nuendo?
I would like to insert an external rack gear (g-major) on a guitar track!

Thanks a lot!
Sorry if it's too dumb!

SureShotStudio is on a distinguished road
i'm doing this from the top of my head so don't flame me if i get this wrong.

press F4 for the vst connections tab.

then go to the external fx tab.

press "add external fx"

tell nuendo if you need an mono/stereo send and return.

then tell nuendo which audio connections that send and return should use and connect you outboard unit to them. Then name that external fx bus.

after that you can just choose you outboard unit as a normal vst plugin. that plug-in will be named after the name you gave that external fx bus.

btw if you press f1, nuendo has a help function you know ....

i could have sworn that once you go to import the track...it asks you what you want to do...copy the track...convert the tracks..or split up the tracks ect....maybe you checked off the box.."dont show me this again" and now your not seeing it upon importing
