My first gig doing sound....need help
We usually use the house system when we play out. The singer of my band who is also my wife has 2 solo shows this weekend where she will be using our practice pa.
This what we have for equipment: Crest Audio V450 poweramp Behringer Eurorack 602a 2 Peavey 12hc's w/horns and stands MR-8 This is how I have it configured rite now.... I am not using the eurorack, instead I am using the mixer in the mr-8 so I can use the built in delay for her Vox in channel 1. I'm running her acoustic guitar in channel 2. I have a behringer direct box somewhere so I'll probably use that. I am running from the Mr-8 to the Crest Audio using the stereo out. (the power amp is stereo so should I run out left and right) My question basically, is there a better way I should be running this set up. I have to admit it sounds pretty damn good but unfortunately I can't hear it at a loud volume where I am at. I would love to record the sets but I don't think it would be clear enough without a pre-amp. I have the trim cranked on both channels. All the years I've been playing and this is my first gig doing sound. any advice would be appreciated jim www.illustriousday.com |
