Need help with mixing sampled drums.
Could someone please give a little insight on mixing drum samples. I'm using the natural kit in fruity loops. how should I pan, compress, etc. do get a more realistic sound in the mix. For instance i have a kick, two snares, snare roll, cymbals, and rides. Should I be copying the cymbals and panning each to one side or what. Please help, thank alot

Yes, anyone please? I also posted a similar question and no answers yet. I was using ns kit 7 free with beatcraft. For now I'm just playing around with compression and EQ but I'm not getting the results I want.
