Well I didn't hear anything bad editwise. Is that two kix or a double peddle? Good job. Well played as well.

I'd say the kick's a little loud, and I'm not a huge fan of the snare tone for that type of song. Other than that... I like

I think it sounds good except the snare might ring a little too much. That kind of ring usually gets absorbed by other instruments. Toms might be kind of low. I'd have to hear it in the mix. Great otherwise!
Do you have the full clip?

Whoops, listened to the wrong clip. Disregard my earlier comments.
Take this all with a grain of salt - I'm just getting into this myself ![]() Overall, the playing's very steady, very accurate, and good! But it sounds kinda strange to me. First of all, the kick drum sounds like it's in stereo? Is that right? Sounds decent, just strange. Toms are really weak compared to the rest. The reverb/room is a strange sound - it could work, depending on what you're going for, but I think you could do better. Also, it sounds like it's in mono, which sounds a little odd by itself (but could be fine in a mix). Snare tone is a bit overbearing. Maybe volume, maybe some EQ cuts? |
