SNare
How can I get a snare drum that sounds like Josh Freese's, in the aspect that the snares themselves are very prominent? Short sustain, with lots of the snare rattling in them... DO heads, types of snares, and hoops affect it?

Mic under the snare - and yes, a lot of copper snares - semi-lose.
