Looking for a vintage 2-track?
http://cgi.ebay.com/FERROGRAPH-424-U...QQcmdZViewItem
Could potentially be a very nice unit if you're into true vintage gear and if its as described. The series 4 dates from the early 60's. Looking at the photos, the pressure pads need replaced (not a big job) but I wonder why he shows the first shot with the selector in "fast" mode (fast forward, called 'wind on' on my series 2 and 3 mono units) but the shot of the head block in either play or record mode - i.e. with the presure pads against the heads. Would be good to see this go to a good home. Might save cjacek the problem of getting step down transformers for his gear in Europe ![]() |
