Edirol R-1, Marantz PMB-660, etc
I'm intrigued by these portable stereo flash recorders, as I think they would be great for recording gigs quickly aand on the fly. A student at the Aebersold camps had the Marantz unit, and liked it quite a bit. It sounded okay with just the built in mics, but really REALLY good when a RODE NT4 was used as the input mic. I've not yet seen the Edirol. Anybody tried one, or better yet, had a chance to compare the two units?
