Yamaha MG 32/14 Mixer

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about the Yamaha MG Mixer line.
I am thinking about getting a Yamaha MG 32/14 Mixer. Its main use will be FOH, but it will be used for some recording as well.

How do the pres sound compared to a Mackie or Soundcraft?

Leeking will become famous soon enough
I use a MG14/2 in my homestudio and a Yamaha EMX2000 powered mixer in my church. For the money, they are great!

I use one for the pres in a live recording set up. I've also used several Mackies (though not the newer ones). The Yamaha pres sound much quieter and more detailed to me. Not a ton of headroom, but they sound really good.

I say they are good. except the one we use at the Church after about 8 months the effects buttons don’t work any more. I don’t know what happened. They don’t click down ore light up. Both of them. I thought that was strange. That both would go out at the same time.

They're really good value but my church is going to be making a larger installation soon and I think I may go for something more expensive, just because I do worry a little about the servicability and expectable lifespan. That said, my MG10/2 is already on its third owner, goes to lots of gigs and has no complaints ...

Well I just picked up a MG32/14fx at GC last night.
I talked them down to $854 (new in a sealed box)
That is less than the MG24/14fx.
