Can someone tell me how to make the effects plug-ins work on specific tracks in ACID? I have ACID 2.0

A little more information would be helpful, but let me take a stab at this:

The effects pack that comes with Pro 2.0 is limited but sufficient. To ad an effx package to a track, right click on the track (as you would to add a volume or pan envelope) and choose effect.

A pull down menu will come up, and an effects window will pop up down where the loop properties box is located. From there, you will be able to choose the effect for the track.

If you've already tried this and its still not working there could be a couple of issues going on. If you are opening up a project that was created with Pro 1.0, the DX effects are not compatible with tracks created in lower versions of Acid. If that is not the case, it could be a RAM issue. Effects envelopes are extremely RAM intensive. If you are using below 128MB of RAM you are going to be slowed down considerably. I would recommend going to ebay and looking for a good SDRAM chip. Get a full 128 chip and use what you have to compliment it.

If that still isn't working, go to the community section on Acid Planet and post your question on the Newbie and Main conference boards. They just moved offices and the BB has been down a lot, but they have been much better this past week.
