BM5A vs BM6P

I decided to make a little upgrade of my existing monotors (reveals active), and I'm leaning towards Dunaudios, but dunno which is better - the BM5A or BM6P + some middle-priced amp like hafler TA1600...

And are the BM6A much better than the above-mentioned options?

Please share your opinions!

i don't know either, the tweeters and the woofer are the same.

the 5A have a 6.9" driver+Esotec tweet 50watts
the 6A have a 6.7" driver+Esotec tweet 100watts

the 6A are about $700 more?? thats alot of 703+Bass traps and mopads.

"for me" at this level, DYN's probably have a very nice Active design worked out. I'd have to go active...

the DYN5A are looking really good, price.
the 6A... 100watts.

Active monitors are more linear with less money invested. Note that if you buy active monitors it doesnt matter what kind of cable you use, meaning it can be cheap.
Main difference between 5a and 6a is when you turn them up. I chose 6a cause i really like music loud ->100dB long term is np for those.
And also more accurate xover for the 6a and higher xover frequency so listen to both before buying anything....
I think that amp inside aint too expensive since its mosfet based.

Yeah i gues thats it, the 6a has mosfet based transistors while 5a not.
I liked the 5a but they simply sounded a bit dull compared to 6a at high volumes.I gues because of the crossover set to low on 5a.Anyway both models are a success!

Does anyone know why is AIR series so expensive? The AIR monitors have more power, separated amps (i thought BM has also separated amps??) and a DAC inside, but....thats it! Are the drivers improved?

Id also like to tell you that passive Dynos are great as well cause Dynaudio is....Dynaudio, its just that passives are meant for more professional intentions.
I love this brand, the inventors were born for this job

thanx 2 everybody!

ı have already gone wıth 6As . They are exellent so far...
BTW I compared them to 5A and ı must say that there ıs a clearly audıble dıfference ın sound between them. 6As seem to sound duller at fırst look, but later as your ears accomodate you can hear that they got more separatıon and more weıght ın lows and lo-mıds. Other than that - ıf I had no money for 6As, I would go for 5As because they sound close anyway...

damn i'll bet your pumped...waiting outside in the rain for the truck...

this web page states the BM5A have Dual Mosfet Amplifiers too.

http://www.primalgear.com/dynaudiobm5a.html

the BM6A's got the 100watts under the hood tho...but those new BM5A are sweet..they have the appearance of the Dyn Air series, shaved edges on the cabinet. In my 11x13 room I'd be alright.
being a HR- hobbyist, songwriter type only, i listen to alot of music thru my studio monitors while tinkering or reading too.

ok, fhk it...gearlust. i think at the $1,000 mark tho its the BM5A's for me, someday...a listening test would seal the deal.
