loud static burst
it just happened again and it is soooo annoying, a huge loud burst of static goes through my event tr-6 monitors at random when just doing daily thing on my computer like listening to music (even in WMP, doesn't even have to be associated with cubase or anything)...i immediately turn the speakers off and after a few seconds i turn them back on again and everything is fine. i fear this is hurting my new monitors and would appreciate any solutions.

You could look into the positioning of them. Are they picking up any interference from any other electrical instruments/ devices nearby? Can you replicate the static burst under any circumstances? Maybe it happens when ??? occurs in your system. Apologies I can't be more helpful

Does it sound like pink noise? I used to have random pink noise bursts through my monitors when I would play an audio file that I didn't realize had missing audio regions in it.
