Using a keyboard controller
Here's the story: I want to utilize my Zoom MRT-3 drum machine within Pro Tools and Logic Express. My keyboard controller (M-Audio Keystation 49e) is plugged into my computer (Mac G5) via usb. Pro Tools and Logic see the keyboard and I have midi commands running out of the keystation's out port to the in of the drum machine. Everything works but I can only play one of the many kits on the machine and changing the kit on the machine doesn't change what kit the keyboard will trigger. Any help with my situation would be much appreciated.

If you have one of the protools (ick) versions that actually has midi capability you should be able to change sounds via program change commands. Just place a program change in the midi stream either by step entry or from your keyboard controller and you should be hearing a brand new kit in no time.
