Multitrack with CD burner

Alright everyone,

I am looking at investing in a mutli track recorder with a built in CD burner but thought I best investigate and ask around for the best one before I give my English pounds away! So far the Zoom MRS-802BCD seems to be standing out but there are so many around it is really starting to do my head in!

Anyone got a Multitrack with a CD burner or knows anything about them and can offer any advice will be greatly appreciated

Cheers guys

Yamaha AW16G is the way to go. Let me put it this way. I own an Alesis HD24 w/ DM-24 mixer and a Tascam FW1884 DAW setup into Samplitude. I can get just as good of a recording with my AW16G as I can with all of the other equipment. I use my G 80% of the time.

The AW16G is one of the best things any project study can own. Much better then a chaep DAW setup

Another big vote for the Yamaha aw16g, which just dropped to $800 USA. If you want to read a lot of support for this machine--and why--search this site a bit. You'll also find a great user site at http://forum.dijonstock.com/

Best,
J.

At the risk of doing more damage to your head, is it possible that a multitrack recorder would not be much of an "investment." Have you considered the pros and cons of a standalone HD recorder or a DAW versus the all-in-one combo models? I say this because I started out using a Fostex VF16 and quickly moved on to a DAW setup. With combo units you are somewhat limited when it comes time for the inevitable upgrade. There are some additions that can be made on some models (external preamps, for example) but you're often hemmed in by what's in the box. Just a thought.
