Equipment Question

I currently have a Behringer UB1222FX-Pro mixer here
and am looking into buying a M-Audio Delta 1010LT sound card here because I want the option of recording numerous tracks at once.
My question is, how would I run the mixer into the sound card ( from what inputs/ outputs on the mixer ) to make this possible assuming it is possible to do such a thing with these two devices.

Thanks in advance for any help.

you may find you don't need to use the mixer so much depending on what instruments you're using.
can you give more detail about your setup?

Basically I'm the guitar player of a 7 ( yes 7) piece band and have been experimenting. We have a vocalist, guitar, bass, drums, trumpet, trombone, tenor sax, and soon our trombone player is going to play keyboard as well. I want the many ( hopefully 8 ) simultaneous track recording for the drums and maybe the guitar.

Is that what you were refering to by setup or did you want more equipment setup?

Shanks again.

TA,

I'm not familiar with your particular mixer, but the key is to use the Insert points. There's an article from EQ magazine that it explains all of this in detail. See Using a Mixer with a DAW, first in the list on my Articles page:
