Make your own Midi cables (wiring diagram)

I thought this might be handy for anyone making up thier own midi cables. Use 2 core screened cable, don't go over 15 foot or you may get latency. I hope this of some use.

I think the cost of making a midi cable would exceed the cost of buying one anyway it is fun

But...

The really cool part is wiring the outer posts with a 9v adapter so you can run a KX5... I did this years ago with a 50 foot MIDI cable so I could play onstage with a KX5 remote keyboard and not have to have batteries or a powersupply hanging off the unit..

Very fun...
