QUESTION:

Is it POSSIBLE to permanently(destructively) apply the effects inserts on ONE TRACK only.

I can not seem to do this. I have tried over and over with different songs and even on a different computer. Now after I go thru the process of:

1. Make sure destructive editing is selected on toolbar (down arrow on wave),

2. inserting effect (tried n-track reverb),

3. selecting the track (or selectiing a portion of the wav file, I have tried both ways)

4. clicking on the "hammer on wave" icon in toolbar (apply effects), select either "selection" or "whole file" for processing (depending on how I did step #2), click on OK.

The program then show a progress dialog where it goes thru several steps, and gives messages about creating undo file, creating npk file, etc. then seems to end normally.

I them remove the inserted real-time reverb effect (it is now already been added to the wav file, right?)

I listen to the song, and.... NO REVERB!

What am I doing wrong?

OK, Im not in front of my studio computer but,

You don't click the destructive button. All I do is highlight the track I want to apply the effects to, go to the "Edit" on the upper toolbar, scroll down to destructive edit (I think thats what it says) and a panel comes up. You can select just the effect or apply pans and envelopes or all. Then click to entire track and OK. It takes a couple of minutes and then its done. Be sure to back up the track first.
