Delays between tracks when recording.

I've been recording 7 tracks at once, they are drums, but some times one of the tracks seems to record ealier. I guess that means the others have a delay. But what causes this? Sometimes it even happens in the middle of the recording.
I'm using a Delta 1010LT

Sounds like a latency problem with your soundcard.

ASIO drivers would help if you could use them, but alas, you can't.

I remember reading somewhere around here about adjusting those but it was all over my head. Is there any easy way to deal with latency like this?
