Multimix 12usb?

hello,

i'm about to buy a Multimix 12usb, and then I have a question:
let's say that I have drums on ch.1, vocal on ch. 2, guitar on ch.3 and bass on ch. 4, and here it comes:when we play all the instruments at the same time, does it record all 4 channels on one track(in Cubase) or is it one channel pr. track?

Well from reading the reviews from www.musiciansfriend.com users who OWN this ...say this about it:

This mixer is great for live recordings or home studio purposes except for one thing, you can't do multitracking! If you decide you want to record each separate track to your computer, well, you can't. It all records to one track. So if you record drums, vocals, keyboard and bass, it's all on one track,Other than that, this is a great mixer. Good quality and looks good.

The USB connectivity sends one stereo mixdown feed of all inputs to the computer.

The old units do only record one channel at a time. The new firewire will be out sometime this month according to Alesis and it will be able to record multiple channels at a time. This unit does look pretty promising.
