How many real time effects?

How many real time effects can you run before your PC starts to bog?

I was up to 3 effects on 26 seperate tracks yesterday and then it started in on me, I had to refresh the temp directory.

I wish Auditions bus capabilities didn't suck.

I think it would depend on each individual PC...are you locking your tracks by chance after you put the effects on them?

When locking the effects, I have not yet maxed mine out. If I dont lock them...Id say after 15 or so tracks with effects I might start to see some sluggishness...

Depends entirely on the effects used, the parameters used within the effects, and the power of the host hardware.

Comparisons have been done in the past using the "Great Hall" preset in the "full reverb" effect using CD-spec files. That effect/preset combination is pretty demanding. How many tracks of that can you (or others) run of that unlocked before playback stutters?
