write error

I tried to burn a CD & got "write error" w no further explaination & nothing in the help files. The second attempt worked. Anyone know what causes this? Just random? Thanks

Gonna need a little more information. Like, what kind of computer, what CD burning software, what type of blank discs, what burn speed, etc. Burn errors can be due to any number of things and any guesses would be simply that.

Sometimes you just get a bad disc. I've literally burned over a thousand discs and I can always count on a handful being write errors and added to the drink coaster pile.
