I have a Tascam 424 mkII and it seemingly works great and I recorded 4 tracks of happiness and all in the world seemed right. But when I go to mix them down (I just have a standard cassette tape player connected with a patch cord) I get a whole lot of nothing. I am following the manual on how to mix word for word, but to no avail and I am becoming increasingly frustrated with life.
I was just wondering if anyone had any helpful suggestions as to what I may be doing wrong..... All replies are greatly appreciated. |

im not sure what that set up would look like, but if you have an external cassette player connected as i think youve pt in your post, and it has rca jacks. Just get a 2 phono to 2 RCA cord and connect the main outs the 4 track you have into the record in on the tape deck. just a thought

The TASCAM Forum might give you some more tips along these lines that I've missed, but are the channel select switches set to the tape position?
