tons of vocal samples....

im a big fan of vocal samples in beats. sort of sollioquies (sp?), before the beat drops. but its pretty time consuming to find samples that fit just right.

i came across this site, that has been extremely helpful to me, thought maybe some others could use it aswell....

http://www.dailywav.com

^this guys been collecting samples from television shows and movies for like 10 years. it also has a search feature, so you can go straight to the stuff your looking for.

*note. because hes been doing this for so long, a whole lot of the samples are a lower sample rate than that of which is standard today.
putting a sample with a lower sample rate into music which has a higher sample rate, will mess up the clip. (make it fast and high pitched, like the chipmunks. but not in a cool way, for you Kanye West fans.)
just load it into an audio editing program ( i use Soundforge), and re-save it at your desired sample rate. most will probably want 44.1 KHz (44,100), which is the sample rate of CDs,
but if your going to burn it to DVD you want 96 KHz etc...

hope this can benifit others as it has me.

.peace.
