Compression on VF80?

I recently burned a cd and sent it off to be mastered. I was told there was a high amount of compression....does the VF80 add this automatically? Can I turn it off, ot down?
Thanks for the help.

I believe on Mastering to 7/8 the Compressor is on unless you specifically turn it off. It can be turned completely off. I can't recall exactly how, but from memory, it's pretty simple. You need to get into the compression menu itself (and highlight the ON/OFF icon) then rotate the jog wheel to either On or Off. Also you can adjust the level of compression, so that while you may want some, it won't be overdone.

Thanks. The recordings I get are very nice sounding, with a high amount of compression. This apparently makes it harder to master, though. I think the setting for compression was on 25...I'll turn it down and see what it sounds like.
